Day 2

 What a night

I reckon I had about 90 minutes sleep and Joss reckoned she had no more, although I have some serious doubts about that ๐Ÿ‘€

We “woke” at 7 and were all ready for 8 and off to Joss’ favourite part of any holiday - the trip in the pod to Heathrow airport!!

I have to say I can’t remember it going quite so fast as we went and in hindsight I do now wonder whether the added speed plus the bulk of us all (including suitcases) was the actual cause of the pod breaking down 2 inches before the end

Still, the maintenance men arrived WAY before by claustrophobia really kicked in and then we were off

We were pointed to a couple of places and finally got to check in our bags where we were greeted by a young lady who couldn’t put her finger on why we couldn’t check in yesterday but more than made up for it by checking us in and getting boarding passes for BOTH journeys - result

We then went through security and whilst the others sailed through I had to be frisked twice before they believed is wasn’t up to no good

At least he didn’t put the rubber glove on…..

Breakfast was in Giraffe before we went to get travel sickness pills and the most hopeless set of expensive sleep neck braces known to man

We went to the boarding gate and were pretty much instantly ushered into a bus to the plane

The plane left 45 minutes late - gulp

I know you be said this before but I’ll say it again, I love holidays but I HATE travelling

The hours on the economy seat were not great although I was lucky enough to sit next to a thin, quiet man and that’s really all I could ask for

Took my first wine(s) of the holiday so hoping that’ll get me on track - we’ll see what the day brings
