  Day 16 Just the knowledge of having to get up at 4 was enough for a sleepless night. So predictably when the alarm went off I was a complete mess. Still, we packed everything up and met the taxi driver outside the reception area just before 5 Somehow she managed to cram all our stuff (and us) into the car and it was a 40 minute ride to the airport. At the airport the guy on information lied by saying we didn’t have to do the self serve baggage check in as we absolutely did have to Eventually we managed that and to get through all of security in a fairly short time Excellent that we were there in good time, bad news was that nothing opened until 7 Still we queued for a cafe to open and ate some very poor cheesy hotdogs - it was the only thing on the menu we thought Kieren could cope with The plane left about 30 minutes late and we sat there prepared for the 14 hours to come I say prepared but yet again it was awful, made worse by the poor selection of movies When we did land and I...

Day 15

Today’s the last day and we decided to celebrate with….. a minuscule lie in - meet up at 8 Off to Starbucks for our usual and then our day was set aside for shopping Joss was in charge so took us off to Koenji. It promised us vintage shops and it didn’t disappoint  We had lunch there and afterwards went back to Shibuya so Hattie could buy her k-pop stuff In fact I got in the act too and bought the Tokyo FC shirt that I wanted to buy at the game - it would have always eaten at me had I not got it Then we finally did it - we broke Hattie - 14 days of 10s of thousands of steps and that was enough - she needed some recovery time Kieren also wanted to go back to the hotel (for Wi-Fi) so it really was win win Joss and I found a bar called Kirin City which had the most polite barman of Tokyo - we loved having a couple there We then did a bit of packing, checked in for boarding passes online then met up with K and H to take them to the Hub British Bar for drinks and dinner Then we went for...
